Goals and objective
The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art’s main focus was to create a scalable concept that would enable the public to explore its extensive collection in its entirety.
The main objectives were to ensure that the collection was accessible to everyone and to allow visitors to find what they were looking for, as well as discover new works that they may not have been aware of.
To meet these requirements, we created an immersive digital solution that seamlessly categorizes and displays the Louisiana Collection in a virtual space. This platform allows visitors to access the entire collection with ease, enabling them to explore and discover the many hidden treasures it holds.
Our solution
In keeping with Louisiana’s belief that art is for everyone, the digital platform was designed to be accessible to all. The platform incorporates features such as audio descriptions, transcripts, and translations to enable individuals with different needs to engage with the collection. Additionally, interactive elements such as 360-degree tours and virtual exhibitions provide a unique and engaging experience for all visitors.
To assist visitors in finding what they are looking for, the platform allows for searching and filtering by artist, style and more. However, their new website also includes suggestions and recommendations based on visitors’ interests and browsing history, helping them discover new artists and works that they may not have previously been aware of.
Overall, the digital solution created for the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art meets the objectives set out by the museum. It provides a scalable concept that enables the public to explore the collection in its entirety, ensures accessibility for all, and allows visitors to find what they are looking for while also discovering new works that they may not have previously known about.
